SJBAYS CNY Open House 2011

11th February 2011

Albeit small and simple, the Chinese New Year Open House never fail tospell fellowship and provide a cause for celebration amongst members ofthe Youth Section.

Participated by approximately 35 members at D’Lot this year, the eventkick started with a welcoming activity of writing good aspirations in attempts to wish one another health, wealth and happiness that lasts throughout the auspicious year of the Rabbit!

Amidst all the laughter and joy during the ice-breaking games, the highlightwas also the array of food that were provided by the EXCO and alsoprepared by the members themselves. To liven up the celebrations, hugeplatters of Yee Sang were also prepared for all of us to toss as high aswe could; a true symbol of good aspirations and a brand new start of the Lunar New Year.

The ample time given for us to tuck into our meals gave the membersample time to mingle amongst one another, in hopes to meet new people, catch up with old friends and even to just share the joys of our Chinesetraditions.

It was a good celebration that brought plenty of good times, and it is mostcertain that it feels more like a family reunion, rather than just that puresense of spiritual fellowship.
